Theology : Islam answer Terorism and who is the true terorist

Bible : You mus KILL and Destroy those who worship another god (exodus 22:20)

Quran : Be Righteous and Act Justly towards those who worship another God (60:8)

Terrorism, defined as the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes, directly contradicts Islamic teachings, which prohibit targeting civilians, even in war. In Islamic law, fighting should only be between armies (combatants), and should not involve non-combatants; in fact Islam prohibits targeting infrastructure that affects the lives of non-combatants, such as food sources, water, hospitals, roads, bridges, and other necessities of a civilian population. Terrorism is close to the Qur’anic term “hiraba” which is defined as “sowing corruption and chaos on earth,” and considered one of the most grievous crimes.

Nothing in Islamic scriptures or teachings leads to terrorism or suicide bombings, nor has it ever been part of the ethos of Islam’s 1400 years of history and traditions. This is a modern day aberration that, according toTime magazine, was first adopted as a strategy in the Middle East by George Habash (an atheist), with the first hijacking committed by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in 1968. That fact that Muslims follow his tactics does not make his purely secular strategy an Islamic one. Firstly, suicide is strongly prohibited in Islam because no one has the right to take away the life that God has given, except God Himself. Secondly, committing terrorist acts, which kill innocent civilians, is also prohibited. Even during war, it is prohibited to target civilians, particularly women, children, old people, and members of the clergy. Islam also forbids cutting down trees, killing animals, and destroying infrastructure. Islamic teachings about war are similar to the Christian concept of a “Just War,” which is fought in self-defense or on behalf of the oppressed, not as an act of aggression. Such a conflict must similarly be fought between two groups of military personnel, not with civilians.

Terrorism is totally condemned by all mainstream Islamic scholars. Those who do endorse terrorism either have no Islamic credentials or legitimate standing among the masses. Their doctrines represent individual views that have been adopted by other disaffected, uneducated, or mis-educated people as regards to their religion.

On the other hand, Jihad is an Arabic word which is often mistranslated as “holy war,” a concept which does not exist in Arabic. The Arabic words for holy war “harb muqadasa,” are not found anywhere in the Qur’an or hadith (prophetic sayings). The term jihad literally means “striving.” The “greater jihad” is described as the internal struggle to avoid negative actions and cultivate good character. The “lesser jihad” is described as the external striving for justice, in self defense or against oppression. One can do this in one’s heart, with one’s tongue or pen, and if these are ineffective, by physically trying to change an oppressive situation, either in self-defense or to defend others against aggression (like the Revolutionary War by the founding fathers against the oppressive policies of the British; or World War II against the aggression of Hitler.) It is this last type of jihad that is misappropriated by extremist Muslims who cite jihad to justify terrorism. In reality, terrorism is the opposite of jihad, and closer to another Qur’anic term, hiraba, which means “corruption on earth.”

Some of the Qur’anic verses which lay out the purpose and nature of war include the following:

To stop oppression :

“Victims of aggression are given license because they have been done injustice; and God is well able to help them—those evicted from their homes without reason except that they say, “Our Lord is God.” For if God did not parry people by means of one another, then monasteries and churches and synagogues and mosques wherein the name of God is much recited would surely be demolished. And God will surely defend those who defend God—for God is powerful, almighty.” (Qur’an, Chapter 22:39-40).

And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, “Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?” (4:75)

Note the mention of all houses of worship, which demonstrates Islam’s respect and concern for other religions as well as the value it places on houses of worship generally.

In self-defense: “And fight for the sake of God those who fight you; but do not be brutal or commit aggression, for God does not love brutal aggressors.” (Qur’an, Chapter 2:190.)

Note that permission is given to fight in self-defense, but not to transgress.

Peace is a desired state: “Now if they incline toward peace, then incline to it, and place your trust in God, for God is the all-hearing, the all-knowing.” (Qur’an, Chapter 8:61).

Here are facts we consider terrorism :

1.  The Nazis and the Holocaust against the Jews was done by Hitler and the 60,000,000 German ROMAN CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN Nazis who followed him and died for his cause and ideas.   The Nazis were not Muslims.

2.  The Serbs in Yoguslavia and their massacures for more than 1,000,000 Muslims in Bosnia and lately in Kosovo.  The Yoguslavian Serbs are 12,000,000 and they are GREEK ORTHODOX CHRISTIANS.

3. The massacures that happened in the Great land of United States of America against the Native Americans.  Christopher Colombus Mission for 150 years they slaughter 89 Mio Indians to get the land of Hope AmericaMore than 95% of the Native American population were massacures.  They were literally shot everywhere they were found!.  Ask any US History teacher and he would shed some light upon you regarding this subject.  More than 90% of Americans are considered CHRISTIANS.

4. The Oklahoma City bombing happened by the CHRISTIAN CULTS group.

5.  World War I : 17 millions died , caused by non-Muslim

6. World War II : 50-55 millions dead, caused by non-Muslim

7. Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic bomb killing the civilian women, children, and elders without any consideration by US government killing 200.000 life of innocent civilians, genocide by non-Muslim

8. Vietnam War more than 5 millions people dead, caused by non-Muslim

9. Bosnia / Kosovo War more than 500.000 dead, caused by non-Muslim

10. Iraqi War, Afghanistan, Burma, so far 1,2 millions dead caused by non-Muslim

11. Invasion of Portugese 18th Century : 56 Mio died in South America

Why is this happening ? The Answer is in the bible chapter 1 samuel 15:3 NIV :

Now go, attact the amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them, put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.

we have no problem with god destroying people. But we have problem with scripture which justifies killing innocent civilians in war. Bible ligitimizes for christians to commit genocide and target innocent babies in war. The command to obliterate Amalek includes the killing of men, women and children; even animals belonging to Amalek must not be spared. This presents us with a moral dilemma. How can God command us to commit genocide?

2 timothy 3:16 -KJV- All Scripture ( this includes 1 samuel 15:3) is given by inspiration of God, for :

1. Doctrine

2. Reproof

3. For correction

4. For instruction in rightteousness

2 timothy 3:16 states that all scripture is profitable for christians today and provides 3 categories. Killing innocent civilians including babies, as God ordered his true beleivers to do in 1 Sam 15:3, must therefore be profitable for christians to do today. Killing civilians must fall in one of these categories : doctrine, reproof, correction, or instruction in righteousness, so which one is it ?

But what does Bible teach ?

Genocide  ( 1 Samuel 15:3), Masacre (Joshua 6:21), Act of Robbery (deutronomy 20:13-14)

Compare to Quran :

“…if any one slew a person – unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people…(The Noble Quran, 5:32)”

In this Noble Verse we clearly see that Allah Almighty honors all the innocent souls that He created. Killing any innocent soul is so hated by Allah Almighty that He considers it as a crime against all of Mankind.

“Those who invoke not, with God, any other god, nor slay such life as God has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; – and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. (The Noble Quran, 25:68)”

In this Noble Verse we clearly see that Allah Almighty considers the innocent soul “sacred”.

He will punish those who kill the innocent souls (by throwing them in hell).

“Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors.  (The Noble Quran, 2:190)”

“On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person – unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.  (The Noble Quran, 5:32)”

“Those who invoke not, with God, any other god, nor slay such life as God has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; – and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.  (But) the Penalty on the Day Of Judgement will be doubled To him, and he will dwell Therein in ignominy.  (The Noble Quran, 25:68-69)”

“But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things).  (The Noble Quran, 8:61)”

“If thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for I do fear God, the cherisher of the worlds.  (The Noble Quran, 5:28)”

God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers.  (The Noble Quran, 60:8)”

“And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for God.  But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers.  (The Noble Quran 2:193)”

Let there be no compulsion in religion:  Truth stands out clear from error:  whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy handhold, that never breaks.  And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.  (The Noble Quran, 2:256)”

“Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to God’s will) in Islam.   Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).  (The Noble Quran, 15:2-3)”

“Say, ‘The truth is from your Lord’: Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it):……(The Noble Quran, 18:29)”

“If it had been thy Lord’s will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then COMPEL mankind, against their will, to believe!  (The Noble Quran, 10:99)”

“Say: ‘Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger: but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you.   If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance.  The Messenger’s duty is only to preach the clear (Message).  (The Noble Quran, 24:54)”

“Say : O ye that reject Faith!  I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship.  And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship.  To you be your Way, and to me mine.  (The Noble Quran, 109:1-6)”

“Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: ‘O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness.’  (The Noble Quran, 18:86)”  In this Noble Verse we see that if the enemy wants to do us harm, then we must punish those who did us harm.   Otherwise, we must treat the enemy civilians and the innocents with kindness.

Let us look at Noble Verse 45:14 “Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not look forward to the days of Allah: It is for Him to recompense (for good or ill) each people according to what they have earned.”

Let us look at Noble Verse 5:32 “…if any one slew a person – unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people…”  In this Noble Verse we clearly see that Allah Almighty honors all the innocent souls that He created. Killing any innocent soul is so hated by Allah Almighty that He considers it as a crime against all of Mankind.

Let us look at Noble Verse 25:68 “Those who invoke not, with God, any other god, nor slay such life as God has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; – and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.”  In this Noble Verse we clearly see that Allah Almighty considers the innocent soul “sacred”. He will punish those who kill the innocent souls (by throwing them in hell).

Let us look at Noble Verse 2:182 “But if anyone fears partiality or wrong-doing on the part of the testator, and makes peace between (The parties concerned), there is no wrong in him: For God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Let us look at Noble Verse 2:224 “And make not God’s (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for God is One Who heareth and knoweth all things.”

I’d say, this Noble Verse clearly proves my point: Let us look at Noble Verse 8:61 “But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things).”  In this Noble Verse, we clearly see Allah Almighty ordering us, the Muslims, to incline toward peace when the enemy inclines toward peace.  This proves that Islam is not a religion for wars, but for peace.

Allah Almighty orders Muslims in the Noble Quran to allow total freedom of choice to people and to never try to force them into Islam; “Let there be no compulsion (forcing others) in religion:  Truth stands out clear from error:  whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy handhold, that never breaks.  And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.  (The Noble Quran, 2:256)”  The Noble Quran prohibits Muslims to force any person into Islam.  Muslims must not let people resent Islam and Muslims.  They must leave people decide for themselves because the “Truth stands out clear from error…(2:256)”

Compulsion is incompatible with religion:  Because (1) religion depends upon faith and will, and these would be meaningless by force; (2) Truth and Error have been so clearly shown up by the mercy of Allah Almighty that there should be no doubt in the minds of any persons of good will as to the fundamentals of faith; (3) Allah Almighty’s protection is continuous, and His Plan is always to lead us from the depths of darkness into the clearest light.

In the above Noble Verses, we clearly see that Allah Almighty orders the Muslims to be forgiving to the enemies and to make peace and peace making their top priority.  It is part of the Muslim’s morals to be a peaceful person.

Muslims start their greetings with “As’salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatu Allah Wa Barakatuh”, which means in English “May GOD’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you.”

Muslim extremists cherry-pick partial verses in the Qur’an, taking them out of their specific-social-historical context. This means not considering the time, place, and specific circumstances in which these verses were revealed. Using these partial verses to justify targeting and killing innocent civilians is an act that is clearly rejected by Islamic teachings which strongly prohibit taking an innocent life.

The most commonly quoted partial verse must be understood in its context, which was the struggle of the early Muslims against the Meccans who had persecuted them and driven them out of Mecca. This persecution which began in Mecca continued after the Muslims migrated to Medina. Once they established a state and an army, the Muslims fought back for the first time.

The verse says: “Kill idolaters wherever you find them, and capture them and blockade them, and watch for them at every lookout.” (Qur’an, Chapter 9:5)

However the verse continues as follows below, a part that is usually omitted by terrorist organizations: “…But if they repent and practice prayer and give alms, then let them go their way; for God is most forgiving, most merciful. And if one of the polytheists asks you for protection, then protect him, until he hears the word of God: then deliver him to a place safe for him. That is because they are people who do not know.” (Qur’an, Chapter 9:5)

Note that not only are they given a chance to repent, but also that if they ask for asylum, it must be granted.

It is also important to view this and other verses in light of the overall Qur’anic message, which emphasizes general moral imperatives such as mercy, justice, kindness, or goodness. Additionally, the Qur’an and hadith (prophetic sayings), which are the two primary sources of Islamic law, place supremacy on the sacredness of life, security, and peace, and forbid the taking of innocent life. The Qur’an has a dual nature: one that is specific (particular or transitional) to the occasion, time and place, and another that is universal and permanent in nature, dealing with principles that apply for all times and places. The specific cannot be made to apply universally, while the universal always informs the specific. Terrorists who cite Qur’anic verses to justify their actions are either quoting verses out of the context and limits in which they were revealed, or ignoring universal scholarly traditions on how to read the Qur’an and misinterpreting the verses, just as anti-abortionists, white supremacists, and certain militia groups misappropriate scripture to support their skewed interpretations. These groups are primarily political in nature and have emerged out of very specific contexts.
